Vegan and vegetarian residents and visitors may be "cheesed off" by most commercial eateries. Does it matter to you because they won't come in? Well, yes because you also lose their meat-eating families.
The single vegetarian "option" - actually no option - is usually mediterranean vegetables with a cheesy pasta. Easy, profitable - bland and boring. Even that other stand-by, the veggie curry or stir-fry, will rarely have beans, nuts or soya in them - so no protein.
It's confusing to plan commercial menus
for lacto,ovo,lacto-ovo-veggies or vegans etc etc.
Some
eat (free-range eggs), some don't, some eat cheesy
food, some don't. It's too difficult, unproftable and of course leads to "irritable chef syndrome".
The Simple Solution - Cook Vegan - the "one size fits all" food.
Vegan
food is vegetarian food without dairy or eggs. All
veggies can eat vegan food and the huge number of lactose intolerant* people can
also eat vegan food. Sorted.
This site aims to show you
what we eat at home and point you to some of the products
and meals we would like to buy from you. We point to where you can source the products easily from local Cash and Carry's to major chain supermarkets. It isn't haute cuisine but it isn't cheesy!
