NUTTY TARTLETS
Tartlets         Filling suggestions
Oil to fry onions   Ratatouille
2 large onions, peeled and finely chopped      Garlic mushrooms
1 teaspoon dried thyme  
1 tablespoon flour   
5 fl oz water  
8 oz nuts  
4 oz breadcrumbs  
1 tablespoon lemon juice  
salt and pepper  
dried breadcrumbs to put in base of tins  
   
1.      Preheat oven to 200C or Gas Mark 6  
2.      Fry onions gently in oil gently for 10 minutes until tender.  
3.      Add thyme and flour.  Stir for 1-2 minutes, then add water and stir until thickened.  
4.      Remove from heat and add nuts, breadcrumbs, lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste.  Mix well.  
5.      Grease bun tins and sprinkle with dried breadcrumbs.  
6.      Press spoonfuls of nut 'pastry' in to fit bun tins  
7.      Bake for 15-20 minutes
